I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with 10 non-commissioned officers from 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment in support of the Commanding Officer’s vision to create a high-performing, inclusive leadership culture in which all members of the battalion feel that they belong & have a voice.
It’s radical in that the CO chose to use a civilian organisation to introduce a different perspective to leadership to complement the army’s excellent leadership development.
Working on behalf of VA Consultants, I delivered a 2-day interactive, experiential leadership development programme that used Vertical Development to underpin a design that was focussed on raising self-awareness, Leadership Dialogue, Leadership Action & Coaching.
I loved the commitment, energy & pragmatism of the soldiers & I felt privileged to see personal transformation taking place as the workshop progressed…”This course has helped me to realise my potential & what I need to improve on to become a good, effective leader”
All agreed they’d enjoyed the experience (despite initial scepticism), learnt lots & committed to new leadership behaviours “I commit to alter my leadership style to best suit the people that work under me”
Go Army. Be the Best
